Comparative study of dyes and effects of purification on selected plants for dye-sensitized solar cells application

چکیده

Abstract The extensive research and interest in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) due to their relatively low cost, simple preparation methodology, toxicity, comparable ease of production continues garner momentum over recent decades. This study explores the extraction purification dyes from different plant sources for cell applications. results obtained these extracts commonly serve societies ranging textiles medicinal applications multiple ailments also DSSC. using dyechloromethyl (DCM), an organic solvent, column chromatography helps separate impurities other solutions get pigment responsible each dye. were deposited a drop-casting technique on doctor-blade fabricated TiO 2 layer. UV-Vis characterizations showed increase band gap values after purification, FTIR presence chemical structures needed cells. EIS studies decrease impedance which could positively enhance efficiency devices.
